Summer in South Georgia – Free talk by Jamie Grant

Join Jamie on his journey across the Southern Ocean to South Georgia. He will be showing his images from this adventure and giving a lively and informative talk about life on this remote Antarctic isle. Topics will include South Georgia’s whaling heritage, Shackleton’s crossing and rescue, wildlife and conservation efforts on the island and the impact of global warming in the region. There will be plenty of time for questions and Jamie will be signing copies of his book afterwards. This will also be a first opportunity to see our new exhibition of Jamie’s framed prints in Café Point.
